COMMERCIAL SOLAR / WHATCOM & SKAGIT

Commercial solar starts with your property.

A commercial solar project starts with the building, its electrical system and the way the property uses energy. VECOR helps owners and project teams explore an installation with a site-specific review and a clear electrical scope.

Request a solar feasibility review

Start with the site. Build a useful proposal.

We welcome commercial solar enquiries in Bellingham and throughout Whatcom and Skagit counties. The first review establishes the property goals, available installation area and electrical conditions.

Site and project review

Discuss the property, available roof or installation area and your goals. Identify the information needed to assess whether the project is a suitable fit.

Electrical integration

Review how the proposed system would connect with the building's electrical equipment. Establish the installation scope and the coordination needed with the project team.

Utility coordination

Identify the serving utility and the interconnection steps that apply to the proposed system. Project planning should account for utility review and connection requirements.

Project-specific estimates

Review the proposed equipment and installation scope alongside modeled production and financial assumptions. Estimated production, savings and payback are planning figures, not guarantees.

Lummi Elder Care Center solar installation.

VECOR's published case study documents a 114-module, 47.31 kW DC commercial system completed in March 2025. The electrical scope includes system wiring, equipment connections, grounding and utility coordination. Explore the project as an example of our commercial solar work.

Questions before you get started.

What do you need to start?

Begin with the property address and your goals. We will identify the utility usage, site details and other information needed to evaluate the proposed system.

Do tenants need the owner's involvement?

Owner involvement is usually necessary for changes to the building and electrical system. Tell us your ownership or leasing situation so the project can be reviewed with the appropriate parties.

Can you guarantee a payback period?

No. A useful proposal identifies the assumptions behind modeled production and savings. Project economics vary with site conditions, cost, electricity rates and operating patterns.
